Ssahng Jeol Bong

The Ssahng Jeol Bong (better known as the nunchaku or nunchucku) is a weapon which benefits coordination and dexterity as well as upper body conditioning.

The history of the Ssahng Jeol Bong is quite interesting. "In its earliest form, the Ssahng Jeol Bong served the farmer in the harvesting of his crops by separating grain from the shaft. Picture a harvest of grain laying on a specially prepared surface. The farmer would beat the crop with a tool that was comprised of a long staff with a shorter stick attached to the end by a rope. The length of the longer staff would help generate power into the strike, making the job somewhat easier for the farmer. By beating the crop with the tool, the shorter stick would make the grain separate from the plant so that it could be harvested.

"During times of war, this farm tool could easily be used as a weapon. Often called a Chul Te or Dur Ree Ge, we may be able to picture it easier if we think of a mace. In these battles, the length of the longer staff allowed the warrior to stay at a safer distance from his opponent and would also aid in the generation of power into the strike. As peace time prevailed, the warriors, with little to do but train, refashioned the Chul Te into smaller versions until we have the design we are familiar with today."

Blue

Blue it is....
Although.....
we barely made this one.....
I was gone to Philippines for 2 weeks, and sick for a week so we never got all of our form until the week before testing...
Need to work harder next time to make sure we are more tight on our form.
Luckily we got a chance to get extra weapons points, and also broke board on first try

#2 Round Kicks

Oh and My #2 Round Kicks are getting very powerful.

Posted about my Taekwondo work out last night on Facebook.

Long Weekend

Go Back to Work Monday.
What a Long Weekend
118 days.
I thank God for seeing me through this and providing for me while I was out of work.

I have used this time to heal myself.

When I had a heart attack I didn't really take any time off. Although I did manage to seriously improve my diet and exercise program. Felt much more physically healthy. However I still needed to improve my mental health. For as long as I can remember (since 4 years old) I have had much anxiety and worry. Combine that with a Great Memory and it is a recipe for disaster. That stress takes its toll on the human body. I attribute much of my heart attack to my stress level. Although I'm not quite there, I have been really working and learning better coping mechanisms to deal with it.

Enjoy the Journey... Not the Destination.

And Thank you to all who have prayed for me during the past 14 months and especially the past 8. I have undergone alot of changes in my life (for the better of course) There were alot of bumps in the road but those bumps have made me stronger.

Amarantine

You know when you give your love away
It opens your heart,
everything is new.
And you know time will always find a way
to let your heart believe it's true.

You know love is everything you say;
a whisper, a word,
promises you give.
You feel it in the heartbeat of the day.
You know this is the way love is.

You know when love's
shining in your eyes
it may be the stars
fallen from above.
And you know love
is with you when you rise,
for night and day belong to love.

Going Green

Our Martial Arts Adventure.

It continues, we have now reached our Green Belts. In keeping with the tradition of this blog, I am posting a picture of us with our instructor after we tested for our Green Belts.

I started last July, we had a somewhat slow start because it was fall baseball season and we missed some classes from that and a few other reasons. So our first graduation was less than 2 weeks from getting out of the hospital from an MI (look it up if you aren't a medico type).

So now every 2 months we obtain a new belt level, learn more and become more martial artists.

My son has even competed in 2 tournaments and earned 1st place in weapons and 2nd place in sparring.

I currently cannot spar until I get off of some medications I take relative to my MI.

However this path we are on has been good for both of us.

COBRA Madness

The Company that my former employer hired to administer my COBRA benefits.

is Quite Rude...
and they don't even perforate the piece you have to tear off to remit with your payment

and OUCH what a Monthly Payment.... especially for people without a job.

Took a long time for them to "process" my first payment.
They Blamed the Provider and the Provider blamed them.
They would not give me the name of the person they send the information to.

But it was rather interesting when I called them one after the other and told them what the other said, it's amazing that my insurance was instated right then.

zzz-Mail (Wonder if they have zzz-Blogging

I Wonder if she was on Ambien or Ambien-CR.
I Wonder if there is zzz-blogging
I Wonder if I have ever zzz-Blogged
I suppose I can read back and look for bizarre posts, wonder if I could even tell.

According to a case described in the medical journal Sleep Medicine, a 44-year-old sleepwalker logged onto her computer and emailed out party invitations to friends. Fortean Times magazine looks at this case and several other bizarre episodes of somnambulism.

From Fortean Times:
The mails themselves were perhaps not up to the woman’s waking standard; each was in a random mix of upper and lower case characters, badly formatted and containing odd expressions.

One read: “Come tomorrow and sort this hell hole out. Dinner and drinks, 4.pm. Bring wine and caviar only.”

Another said simply: “What the…”

The writers of the report have dubbed this new variation of sleepwalking ‘zzz-mailing’. They say: “We believe writing an email after turning the computer on, connecting to the Internet and remembering the password displayed by our patient is novel. To our knowledge this type of complex behaviour requiring coordinated movements has not been reported before in sleepwalking. She was shocked when she saw these emails, as she did not recall writing them. She did not have any history of night terrors or sleepwalking as a child.” Unlike simple sleepwalking, they argue, the activities the woman engaged in required complex behaviour and coordinated movement, as well being able to remember her login details. She had no memory of the events next day. It’s thought that the somnambulistic episode may have been triggered by prescription medication.

Phonemic and Morphological Analysis

A primary interrelationship of system and/or subsystem logistics is unspecified with respect to problems of phonemic and morphological analysis. To approach explanatory adequacy, any associated supporting element delimits improved sub-cultural compatibility-testing. Under these circumstances, the product configuration baseline is not subject to the evolution of specifications over a given time period. Specifically, most of the methodological work in modern linguistics adds overriding performance constraints to the anticipated fourth-generation equipment. Thus, within given parameters, a constant flow of field collected input ordinates presents extremely interesting challenges to the total configurational rationale. Further, the incorporation of agonistic cultural constraints adds explicit performance contours to the requirement that branching is not tolerated within the dominance scope of a complex symbol. On the other hand, a descriptively adequate grammar presents a valuable challenge showing the necessity for any discrete configuration modality. I suggested that these results would follow from the assumption that constant flow of effective communication does not readily tolerate improved subcultural compatibility-testing. On the other hand, relational information suffices to account for the total system rationale.

Request.....Denied

Have you ever had someone do something you didn't approve of...
you ask them to correct it, and they over react enough to make you uncomfortable for even bringing it up even though you feel violated.
Then after some time, they go right back to how it was at the beginning.

the only difference is now you feel you cannot even say a thing about it because of all the overreaction it caused the first time.

just another flag of red....
just another nail......

...deep breath sigh....eyes closed head shake....

OH well..
